Order & Invoice
Where can I find the invoice for my order?
If you ordered through Amazon, you can find your invoice in your Amazon customer account (under "My Orders"). If you ordered from our online shop, you will receive the invoice via email—please also check your spam folder. If you still can't find the invoice, simply contact us so we can resend it to you.
Can the invoice be changed later?
Yes. If, for example, you need an address correction or a change to a company name, please contact us, stating your order number and the desired adjustment. We will then issue you an adjusted invoice to ensure all information is correct.
Can I change the delivery address after placing my order?
If your delivery address has changed or you notice a typo, please let us know as soon as possible using our contact form. As long as your order hasn't been shipped yet, we can easily update the address. Unfortunately, changes are no longer possible once the order has been shipped, as the package will already be on its way to you.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
Delivery within Germany is typically 2–3 business days. Our trees are stored in Germany and shipped promptly. Please note that delays may occasionally occur during the pre-Christmas period due to high parcel volumes or weather-related factors. We therefore recommend ordering your tree early to ensure it arrives on time.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your tree has been shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number. Using this tracking number, you can check the status of your delivery on the shipping provider's (DHL) website. This way, you'll always know where your package is. If you experience any unexpected problems or your package doesn't arrive for a while, please contact us – we'll be happy to assist you immediately.
Is delivery to a packing station or post office possible?
Please note that parcel stations only accept packages up to a certain maximum size (approximately 75 × 60 × 40 cm). Our trees exceed these dimensions in their packaging, so they won't fit in a parcel station. Please provide a home address so the tree can be delivered safely.
How much are the shipping costs?
Shipping within Germany is free for you – we cover the delivery costs! For deliveries to other countries, shipping costs may apply depending on the region. These will be displayed during checkout before completing your order. So, you can check the shipping costs, if any, that apply to your address before submitting your order.
What if my desired model is sold out?
If the tree model you want is temporarily out of stock, you can sign up for it on the product page. Simply enter your email address in the notification field. We'll notify you immediately by email as soon as your desired model is available again. This way, you won't miss any restocks and can order the tree as soon as it's back in stock.
Returns & Complaints
How long is the return period?
You can return your HÅVN tree within 14 days of receipt, provided it is unused and complete (including accessories and original packaging). This 14-day period gives you sufficient time to inspect the tree. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you can exercise your right of withdrawal and return the tree to us within this period.
What should I do if my tree arrives damaged?
If your Christmas tree arrives broken or damaged in transit, don't worry—we'll take care of it. Please contact our customer service immediately and provide your order number. Ideally, you should also send us a photo of the damage so we can assess it. We'll then find a solution right away: We'll either organize a replacement tree for you immediately or refund your purchase price. After all, your Christmas shouldn't have to suffer because of a damaged tree!
Do I have to pay the return shipping costs myself?
Yes, the buyer is usually responsible for the return shipping costs. If you return an item, we will provide you with a return label and charge a flat rate of €20. This fee covers the shipping costs for the return shipment of the large package. If the claim is justified (e.g., due to transport damage or incorrect delivery), we will, of course, cover the costs in full.
Do I have a guarantee on my tree?
Your HÅVN Christmas tree comes with a two-year statutory warranty against material and manufacturing defects. This means that if defects due to manufacturing errors occur within two years of purchase, you are entitled to the statutory warranty rights. We do not currently offer a voluntary manufacturer's warranty beyond this period—however, our trees are of high quality, so defects are extremely rare. If you encounter any problems within this period, simply contact us, and we will find a solution.
Structure & handling
How does the structure of the tree work?
The tree is delivered in a few handy parts and features a simple interlocking system. This means you simply slot the tree segments together according to size – no tools are required. Thanks to this clever interlocking system, you can set up the tree in just a few minutes. Depending on the size, your HÅVN tree consists of two to four sections, all of which fit together easily. For the best look, we recommend spreading the branches a little and bending them into shape afterward to ensure the tree looks nice and dense and even. Printed assembly instructions are included in the package.
Do you offer video instructions for assembly?
Yes, we have step-by-step assembly videos to make the process even easier for you. You can find these videos on our website in the "Help" or FAQ section, and sometimes also on our YouTube channel. There you can see exactly how the individual tree elements are put together. Many customers find the video instructions very helpful in getting the tree into shape the first time. So feel free to watch the video before assembling – after that, everything will be very easy.
Does the height information include the stand?
Yes, the tree heights we specify already include the tree stand. So you don't need to add any extra height. For example, if a tree is listed as 180 cm tall, it will measure approximately 180 cm from the ground (including the stand) to the top. Minor deviations of +/- 1 cm may occur due to production reasons. Overall, however, you can rest assured that the tree with the stand will be approximately as tall as described. This way, you can choose the right size for your home without any surprises regarding the final height.
Can I also put the tree outdoors?
Our HÅVN Christmas trees are designed exclusively for indoor use. The materials may be affected by weather influences (rain, snow, UV radiation) if used outdoors for extended periods. If you plan to use the tree temporarily, for example, for an outdoor event, make sure it is protected from moisture – although we generally advise against this. For outdoor use, we offer special outdoor artificial trees that are weatherproof. Our focus is on trees suitable for indoor use, so you can enjoy their appearance and quality for a long time.
Can I use fairy lights and Christmas tree decorations?
Absolutely – you can decorate your HÅVN tree just like a real Christmas tree. You can easily attach all standard fairy lights, baubles, ornaments, and decorations. The branches of our trees are sturdy enough to support even heavier decorations, and the included stand ensures the tree stays securely in place. Even with extensive decorations, the tree will stand firmly and upright. Just be careful not to wrap the fairy lights directly around the trunk (keyword: tangled wires) and preferably use LED lights (they don't get hot). Otherwise, the sky's the limit – have fun decorating!
Care & Storage
What is the best way to clean the artificial tree?
A major advantage of your HÅVN tree: It doesn't shed needles. However, some dust can settle on the branches over time. The easiest way to clean the tree is to occasionally wipe it with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster. Please do not use harsh cleaning agents – these could damage the material or cause discoloration. You should also avoid water or very damp cloths, as moisture can make metal parts (e.g., screws on the trunk) susceptible to rust. A gentle dry cleaning is completely sufficient to make your tree look fresh again. Tip: When you take the tree down, dust it off immediately before storing it – this will keep it clean in the bag.
How do I store the tree after Christmas?
It's best to store the tree in a dry, cool, and light-protected place until the next holiday. Ideally, store the tree in the included storage bag. Our bags are designed to fit the disassembled tree snugly and protect it. It's important that the storage location is not damp and not exposed to direct sunlight – excessive heat or UV light can deteriorate the material over time. Proper storage ensures that your tree will look beautiful for years to come.
How long will my tree last?
With proper care and storage, you can enjoy your artificial Christmas tree for many years. High-quality artificial trees often last a decade or even significantly longer—in some cases, almost a lifetime. Because the tree doesn't dry out or shed needles, you'll have a pristine tree every Christmas without having to buy a new one every year. This longevity makes the HÅVN Christmas tree a sustainable and ultimately cost-saving investment.
Product details & other
How natural does the tree appear – does it look real?
Our HÅVN trees are characterized by their extremely realistic appearance. Depending on the model, they are made either from 100% injection-molded PE or from a high-quality PE/PVC mix that faithfully replicates real fir branches. Injection-molded means that the needles are made from polyethylene using an injection-molded process: These three-dimensional, matte-green needles look and feel deceptively similar to real fir needles. A 100% injection-molded tree is currently the ultimate in naturalness – you can hardly tell it apart from a real tree. But our mixed models also look very realistic: Here, injection-molded needles are used on the outer branch tips, and PVC branches provide fullness inside. This combination creates a dense, full appearance. Many of our customers particularly praise how lifelike and beautifully dense the trees are. In short: visually, with a HÅVN tree, you won't miss a real tree.
Are the materials safe (health and environmentally friendly)?
Yes, you can rely on tested quality. Our materials have been tested for freedom from harmful substances and flame-retardant properties . Safety is our top priority. There's no unpleasant chemical odor, as we avoid cheap PVC plasticizers, which often cause fumes in inferior trees. Instead, our plastics even meet strict standards, such as those that would apply to children's toys. So you can place the tree in your home without worry—even households with children or pets don't have to worry about harmful substances. Furthermore, all of our injection-molded branches are flame-retardant according to DIN standards, which represents an additional safety aspect.
What do I do if a part is missing?
In the unlikely event that a component of your tree is missing (e.g., a connector or part of the stand), please contact our customer service. Have your order number ready and let us know which part is missing. We will promptly arrange for the missing part to be sent to you – free of charge, of course. Our goal is to ensure that your tree arrives complete and ready for use. Missing parts are extremely rare, but if they do occur, we will resolve the issue quickly and efficiently so that you can fully assemble your tree.
Is my tree's packaging environmentally friendly?
Your HÅVN tree is delivered in a sturdy cardboard box made from recycled material, which can itself be recycled later. We avoid unnecessary plastic as much as possible – for example, the branches aren't wrapped in individual plastic, but the tree itself is efficiently secured within the cardboard box. The tree stand is made of metal and wood. Overall, we strive to keep packaging waste to a minimum. Of course, the tree must arrive well protected, but we achieve this primarily through clever packaging techniques. This way, you can enjoy not only the tree but also a clear conscience.
Why do the different models have different prices?
The price differences between our tree models depend on several factors.
Size: Larger trees require more material and more complex manufacturing, which is reflected in the price.
Material: Trees with a high injection-molded content (especially 100% PE injection molding) are more expensive to produce and therefore also more expensive to sell for – but they offer the most realistic appearance. Mixed trees made of PE and PVC are somewhat cheaper to produce and therefore less expensive, but they also look very attractive.
It's important to us to offer something for every budget – from entry-level models to premium firs – while maintaining a fair price-performance ratio . Every investment in a HÅVN tree is worthwhile in the long run, as you'll enjoy it for many years.
Is an artificial Christmas tree fireproof? Can I light real candles on it?
Our tree is made of flame-resistant plastic and burns significantly less than a dried-out real tree. Additionally, our tree is classified as flame-resistant . This reduces the overall fire risk .
However, flame-resistant does not mean incombustible. If plastic catches fire, it produces very hot flames and toxic smoke . Therefore, we advise against using real candles on the tree. LED fairy lights are a safe alternative – they generate hardly any heat, create an atmospheric glow, and can be used for hours without any problems. It's also important not to place the tree directly next to a radiator or fireplace .
Our tree offers significantly greater safety than a real Christmas tree, but open flames should still be avoided.
How environmentally friendly is an artificial Christmas tree really?
The environmental impact of artificial Christmas trees is a much-discussed topic. Basically, a plastic tree must be used for many years to compete ecologically with real trees . This is due to its PVC or PE manufacturing and transport , which initially generate CO₂ and consume resources. Various studies cite a period of at least 8–10 years , and sometimes up to 15 years , for an artificial tree to "catch up" ecologically. If it is used for this long or longer, its environmental impact is roughly equivalent to, or even better than, cutting down a real tree every year.
The advantage of artificial trees is that they can be reused for many years and require no additional resource consumption during this time – apart from storage . This eliminates the annual tree production on plantations, the use of pesticides in the cultivation of real trees, and recurring transport routes . After a few years, the cost savings exceed the annual expenditure for real trees, making artificial trees financially attractive in the long term. In addition, there is no annual disposal of green waste , which is often costly, especially in cities.
The real tree, on the other hand, is a renewable resource and biodegradable . While growing , it absorbs CO₂ , but is usually harvested from plantations after a few years and often treated with fertilizers or pesticides . Long transport routes —sometimes even importing from abroad —can further worsen the carbon footprint. If the tree is composted or burned after use, its overall carbon footprint remains relatively neutral, but only for that one Christmas Eve.
Conclusion: An artificial tree is particularly environmentally friendly when it is used for as long as possible. Ideally, for over 15 years , as this offers a clear advantage over 15 real trees – with all the associated transport and disposal costs . At the end of its useful life, the tree should be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner . With careful use, an artificial Christmas tree is a sustainable alternative that brings joy year after year without having to cut down new trees.
