Size guide: which tree height fits?

The right height for your artificial Christmas tree depends on the ceiling height, the floor space and the tree decorations. All heights given for HÅVN trees include the stand.

Rule of thumb: ceiling height minus clearance

Without a tree topper, 10 to 15 cm of clearance to the ceiling is enough. With a star or angel on top, allow 20 to 30 cm.

The usual ceiling height in new buildings is around 2.40 m. A 180 cm tree fits there.

Floor space

Add 50 to 60 cm of free space all round to the diameter of the tree. That way it does not look cramped, presents fit underneath and you can reach everywhere when decorating. A tree with a diameter of 125 cm therefore needs an area a good 2.20 m wide if it stands freely. In a corner, less is enough. Tip: mark out the footprint with masking tape beforehand.
